The Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge is about 10 minutes from our house. We go there a couple of times of week if we can. Bald eagles, great blue herons, northern harriers, pied billed grebes and various ducks can usually be seen in winter. It's a wonderful place to see the most beautiful sunsets. I also like to go there in summer when the wildflowers bloom to take photos of the songbirds, grasshoppers and butterflies. The scenery is beautiful too. From the Roy Rogers Rd overlook, there is a great view of Mt Hood.
